Anyone knows the exact angle between the inlet and exhaust valves on the CA?
It's not in the manual...

I remember somewhere back 10 years ago or so that it was
typical old school wide angle 45 degrees which is what
Toyota has gone closely back to (eg 41 degrees) for the
most thermally efficient gasoline donk in the world.
It improves flow throughout large rpm band and therefore
also increased the stroke and reduced the bore!.

If you want to live in the higher rpm band for na
narrower angles work best but for the street and
boost, wide angles are coming back and in also proven
by mitsubishi 4g63 which have crazy patents that Benz
had to try and incorporate for themselves as Mitsubishi
is actually a force in combustion and injection designs.

If you can get a stout bullet proof cd20et block fit a
chinese stroker crank (sourced from NZ seller $600aud)
88mm stroke and 88mm bores that are easily achieved
on the diesel block, then you will have a 2.14L beast.

You will need to use Honda slugs and 4g63 modded H beam rods
and you will end up with a Nissan fj20 but lighter more
compact design that fits into almost any small datsun.

The CA is basically a copy of the Fiat twin cam in so many ways
which came out in 1966 and had 16v heads in the mid 70s however
Nissan made the 16v head for mass production before FIAT.
However the racing 16v fiat heads that arrived in showrooms in
1989 looked like the ca18de heads! well they looked like that
in earlier race engines so likely Nissan copied them.

just like ca18de split inlets but also there were 4 port heads

FIAT though 34.5mm inlet valves quite decent for 84mm bore.
ca18-ca20 83-85mm bores inlet valves were 32.5mm?
