you interested boofhead? i'll run through some of the good bits.

Hilux 4.11 LSD. cut down and respined with Ford nine inch 30 spline axles. new bearings, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, tramp bars. RX4 drums. UNbreakable. same diff as the wheelstanding nine second wagon in QLD.

3 inch FAT tailshaft with new uni's

front end all new nolathane bushes

modified R31 skyline front struts, with the associated brakes. sunny LCA's, radius rods and steering arms.

Big custom swaybar that kicks back under the motor.

Custom crossmember that sits the motor low and as far back as it can go (with R33 mounts).

Tunnel replaced with a 300ZX tt tunnel. its big and allows the gearbox crossmember to be bolted to the threaded holes in the tunnel (good for exhaust clearance and engineering purposes)

Fuel system hidden behind the rear quarter pannel. EFI hardware surge tank, bluebird lift pump, high pressure EFI fuel pump. all mounted under the car to keep the in car noise down.

3 inch stainless steel dump pipe and exhaust. one resonator and two mufflers.

Massive and very efficient intercooler. 800 x 240 x 75. custom alloy piping to suit. s13 sr20 radiator with two aftermarket thermo's on, keeps cool.

what i want to keep -

the motor. the ECU and AFM (tuned) and the front shocks. i will replace the fuel pump with one a little smaller (will support 180rwkw's) and maybe the wheels.

there are heaps of different deals that could include all or some of the stuff. but basically all it needs to run is a motor and ECU (could be done very cheaply). I drive it every day. it is just not finished. needs someone who will finish the interior and paint and pannel.

i even have the panels! (new front guards, doors bonnet. and a CA18DET that needs a rebuild. the clutch has been done (hydraulic conversion) and there is a brake booster. it is a running (12.6sec first outing) road going registered unengineered unfinished project.

any offers? i'm not after megadollars, but as you can see - plenty of time and cash have gone in so far.

Oops, too late, Dodgeman already has a 200B wagon, but will gladly use it in trade for a 1600 Wagon.

OK, here's my view.
Keep the Lagwagon & do some improvements from time to time.
Buy the 1600 if you want, but don't make it another project. Leave it basicly stock. Add some nice wheels, open up the exhaust a little, upgrade the suspension a little but keep it as the sort of vehicle that you can just jump in & drive, anywhere, any time without feeling the need to apologise for the noise, the ride, the draught or the cold. Keep the coupe to scare yourself ####less in when going round & round, & keep the wagon for scaring everyone else.
Get rid of all other projects. This then should give you a Datsun for all purposes, like Easy street, Fast street, & track. You should be able to develop each car without an excessive drain on the wallet while keeping a desirable example of each model.
Works for me.

What about another possibility.

Buy the 1600 as well. Tidy it up, put some of your hoarded bits into it to trick it up a little, then sell it for a tidy profit. Then there's no hard feelings with cam because he's already making a profit by selling it to you?

Then put that money into the wags for a heater and new door and a bunch of cans of paint!

c'mon converted, i bet JT likes 1600's...

well the saga continues! the mate who has the 1600 held it for me as a guy was interested in buying it for more than he offered it to me for. i'm still very undecided.

would anyone from this site buy the LAGWAGS and finish her off for me? all i want to keep is the motor out of it and maybe some small other things.

throw me some offers, be great if i could still watch her grow up, sob.

Keep the wagon in one piece and in your hands, there are lots of nice original 1600s and blokes that will keep them that way.

Or have both if you want to, even if its just to save someone turning an original 1600 into another over done tarted up schlock box with 18 inch chromies and a "fully sick" white leather interior.

Personally I would be hanging onto the wagon and maybe doing what b310GX has suggested. But if the wagon is up for sale I'm interested.
