i was thinking about the cam, as the motor came from a van, it will have a cam which will favour low rev torque as oposed to high reving power... as with the timing and tuning

ive only driven a15s which had aftermarket cams so am unsure of how large the difference will be

also
there's always lightening the flywheel to get a bit more "free reving" from it, though this is an extra improvement rather than solution to your problem i feel

i think you could possibly use the a12 flywheel to shave some weight there (someone confirm please???)

The weight of the flywheel should not affect the maximum speed, but will affect how quickly the engine increases, or loses speed.

As the engine capacity increased through the various models of A series engines, so too did flywheel weight, so using a 1200 flywheel on an A15 will be a reduction in weight compared to the original.

hi all..
is it the A12 flywheel direct fit to A15? any modification needed?
i do notice the engine response (rev up and rev down) not as fast as A12....

later i go try on rev it straight until 5k rpm on neutral gear..

btw, about the camm..
so i need different angle one?
will the A12 one fit my A15? any differnece will it made?

i'd try & get a cam from a b210.these will fit into your a15,& are much better than the cam
you already have.these are the cams i try & get when i'm having a cam reground.

the a12 flywheel will bolt onto the a15.i've done this before,& the engine does seem a little more responsive.
