Steering box compatability for 1000 ute

G'day, The steering box in my 1000 ute has shat itself and dropped its oil all over steering rack and pitman arm. What i'm asking is what other steering box's will suit. I know a 1200 one will fit but i haven't had any luck finding one.. Could i use one from a 120y??????????Has anyone ever had one re-built? what did it set u back?

I think I read in a post that there was one or two Datsun 1000's in a wreckers in Waterloo[?] st Queanbeyan. Have you tried there?
