i was planning on bringing one as well in case of some one running out of fuel... im treating the ute/coupe as a support vehicle.

done a few quick distance checks :

melb to my place : 123km
my place to apollo bay : 95km
apollo bay to colac : 95km
colac to melbourne cbd : 184km
colac to my place : 100km

theres 98oct fuel at each main stop.

My mum's fussing that the GOR is in pretty bad condition. The road surface isnt fantastic after recent roadworking (read: complete overhaul)

A couple of motorcyclists have died the last few weekends.

So just a warning.
Maybe I'm supplying excuses to more pikers who don't want to chip their paintwork or something.

But anyway, I'll see you there and we'll be celebratin' datto style

UPDATE : did the run from home to Apollo Bay this morning .... an hour an' half cruisin road was good all the way for the 95km of the trip i reckon a total of 1km stretched over the whole distance was a little rough
Apollo Bay have 98oct at the same $$ as torquay.
Drove the road half way back thru to colac and had a ball sweeping bends, tight bends, hairpins .... a good road surface and only a handfull of damp spots .... and only come up behind 2 other cars

you guys are gonna need some good excuses to pike out now
