With the fuel prices still sitting up pretty high, i was wondering if anyone that has to run optimax or premium or whatever cause their car being turbo has tried running the new shell 95% and has not had any troubles getting high revs. When i first got my CA i didnt know you had to run optimax. When it got up around 5000rpm, it would miss-fire and detonate really bad....i soo learnt very quickly which fuel to use....
Thanks EDIT:Sorry about putting into classifieds....

This "pump fuel" thing is a real pain in the butt. I herd (second hand) that Shell wont even guarantee the RON rating of their fuel at the moment because they are changing from their winter blend to their summer blend so hows a bloke supposed to know what he putting in the tank
I will be changing from optimax to another brand that guarantees the RON rating maybe you should consider doing the same.

Yeah sounds like the smart thing to do, probably the worst thing that can happen, not knowing what your putting in your fuel tank....

If you ever ran caltex vortex you were running shell 95. You can't get shell 95 in the city it's more of a country fuel. The silly thing was that caltex used to charge the same price for it's premium as all others were charging for 98. but now they have vortex 98 (prob shell too!!) normal vortex is lower in price.
