We need to somehow get this forum considered as a 'car club' - as I am planning to register my 1200 with Club CH plates - then I could drive it on public roads as part of a 'club function'.

How would we go about doing that?

Ben, the only way this club could become a legit club would be to become a member of AOMC. Then we could get the CH plate sceam. But we would also have to have a Pres, sec, Tres, etc.
