Not bad considering all trucks built in or imported into Australia are speed limited to 105km/h.

I've had trucks pass me when I've been doing 110km/h on a flat road so please don't tell me that ALL trucks are speed limited to 105km/h. They may arrive in the country with a speed limiter but higher speeds are only the flick of a switch away.....

You would have been doing more than that I'd say. Pretty decent straight at Wakefield

What track ?

I think from memory his coupe gets up to like 235 at bathurst.

This is the original question in the first post, so track speeds don't count as far as this thread is concerned I guess.

As for me, I think I accidentally rolled up to 115 kph on a steep downhill run in a 110 zone once, but quickly brought it back, honest injun officer, would I lie to you?

As for trucks, I travel the Hume Highway [AKA Sesame St.] quite a lot & have been out there, particularly late at night, at 110 kph & the big rigs drive by like I was parked.

It was at wakefield. It could have been more, but looking at the speedo was the last thing on my mind!

Ianey, it would have been a lot more.
And as for Bathurst, that straight is down a big hill and I've seen lower HP cars crack 235 from a standing start at the top. They used to have a comp there
(maybe still do), where they start at the top of the straight and the highest speed through the traps wins.

By the way, the 1600 vid in my sig is on a tiny section of Wakefields straight and hits around 120 km/h (top of 2nd gear), so that gives you an idea

Ok. The fastest I have ever done was 110 in my fathers Mitsubishi Montero street racing against another one. Cops caught the other guy but I was able to get away.

You were "street racing" in a mitsubishi montero(pajero)????

Driving: 180kmh on a dirt road in the parents 4x4..
sad thing is the dirt roads round here are safer to drive on because they are smoother than the sealed ones.....

Motorcyle: bout 120kmh on my brothers yamaha bansee (quadbike). 6th gear pingin then back off a bit and throw it into the drifting track around the gravel roads along the creek!

Passenger: 180 in an R33 skyline (only 4th gear), when the bloody factory limiter kicked in.
