powerpoles look like fence pickets at that speed.

Fastest I have been so far was 265 km/h in my brother's Mustang...it was a bit too floaty for my taste so I didn't push it anymore than that. I was on a totally deserted 4 or 5 lane highway at about 3am, otherwise I'd never go that fast.

I've only taken the Datsun up to about 208 km/h so far cause it needs an alignment and bigger rear tires, it gets up to 190 km/h in just a quarter mile though! But it should be able to push about 250 km/h if I ever felt safe enough to do it

this one's not me .... speaking to my 84 year old grandfather yesterday, he owns a merc 500SL, 0-100kmh in 4.9secs, and last month took it for a drive ...... 220kmh figured the books said it is good for 312 so he'd give it a try
as for me ..... last weekend, ocean rd cruise, wound it out in 4th to 6500rpm'ish then went for 5th .... neck and neck with ange's green rotor, both of us well off the speedo numbers

162 km/h in my 1986 corolla. Would not go any faster. Had a bit of a laugh when mums 2000 model excel only got 155 km/h.

In my mates dad's 2001 Porsche GT3 (highly modified now, not then Tassie Targa car) we got to 215km/h on the highway on the way out to Perth [no not W.A]..
This is when i was 14, in the backseat holding on for dear life!

Got my datto up to 153km/h ass end swaying all over the road, not a great feeling; with a stuffed steering box too

Me passenger in a crazy R33 GTR on a main road in Dandenong at around 240kph....now that was scary. Somehow the driver is still alive.

In Oz about 190kph down the main straight of Phillip Island (that's when the speed limiter kicked in on my old R32)
