In my old XB sedan with a mild LPG sucking 351C. 80 in first (I love highway gears) 120 in second, 160 in third then about 170 in fourth befor the front end started to lift and the steering went as light as a feather, Not cool considering the bend in the road. After that effort I dumped the front 2inches to match the sagging ass end.

Ok. The fastest I have ever done was 110 in my fathers Mitsubishi Montero street racing against another one. Cops caught the other guy but I was able to get away.

Well the quickest that I ever mananaged in my little 1000, was according to the speedo was.....80mph!!! (148kph i think)

It was a very old winter night on Tonkin Hwy, coming from Armadale back home from work. (In Perth)

Very hairy, since there was no weight on the front end at all. Not that a 1000 is heavy in the front, but it was like the wheels were off the ground.

That was doing about 5000rpm in fourth, so another gear would have got me some more speed, but safety and logic eventually won me over and I slowed down to 60mph

still, it was great fun!!

I did 200 (i think, I wasnt really concerntrating on the speedo) in the passenger seat of Andrew (ca18detman)'s race car on friday at the end of the straight. Other than that 210 on the back of my dads 1300 road bike. 140 seems slow after that.

Not bad considering all trucks built in or imported into Australia are speed limited to 105km/h.

My uncles 180B in the eighties used to go 120mph! The funny thing was that at 99 mph his aftermarket side mirrors used to flops against the pass and drivers window - as if they knew that from 99mph onwards no-one cares whos behind them - so the fastest I guess I've been in a 180B is 120mph...
