Henrob Welding torch
Can't find anyone that has one. Looking to fabricate light alloy and stainless. Seems a bit too good to be true. Would like to hear otherwise, maybe see a live demo.

I've got one. They are kind of overrated, but when compared to the cost of an AC/DC tig, they are good value. I wouldnt say they are worth their weight in gold since they are heavy and awkward to hold, but they are a good tool.
I have never welded light alloy but I had a play with some 8mm aluminium plate. You need flux. Aluminium is #### to weld, as you dont see a puddle form. The outside layer looks like normal even when molten. I have only had a play but i suspect there is a reason why all the websites show small pics. It definatly seems better on alloys than a mig though. Stainless and mild steel is another story. It wont beat a tig but it is nice to weld. I used it on the roof of my 1200wags for a bit of welding and lots of shrinking. Its only down falls are weight and shape. If it was shaped like a normal oxy torch, it would be better. If I could buy over again, I would get a Meco Midget but I couldnt find an Australian supplier. I think I have a dvd that came with the torch that I could send you. Its just made by the Australian suppliers and runs through him and his wife using the torch on various metals. They make it look easy even if its a home made quality dvd. You can view topic.
