a15 has replaced the a12 in my datsun sunny! Seems to be allot of pressure in the radiator??? I previously asked this question and most forum dwellers said it should be OK! My temprature guage does nt work so untill then I will not know for sure but has anyone has the same experience? I heard gemini adiators fit in?? Any suggestions

in my experience an a12 radiator coupled with a 4-spd struggles to keep an a12 cool in summer. Gemini is inexpensive and easy upgrade. mine was from a TX I think?

edit: here's a pic showing the difference, note that the water inlet/outlet are in about the same spot.

OK got the gauge working but using a temp sender out of the a12 motor on the a15! Obviously the a15 temp sender is bugged! They want $102 for a new sender to suit an a15! Bugger that, does it matter if I leave the a12 one in there?temp only goes uo to half way and the sender look alittle different??

Do the gemi radiators mount straight into the sunnys or is drilling holes required??

over $100 is way too much even for nissan to charge. i think they charged me 50 something for an a12 one, which im using in an a15.
true repco is like $12, but nissan brand is worth getting for the temp sender.. i rekon..

goodluck!

OH $102 for the sender itself, wtf.
I know VDO ones are the best, i think mine cost around $35 from sprints, same as the ones that come from nissan, except from nissan you get a nice box with logos etc.

Yes the gemini one is way to go. Also I bought an Autogauge temp gauge and sender for $70. very accurate and my temp never went over 80c. Thats even giving it a hard time on the racetrack on a hot day.

OK, so heres my conclusion; il leave the a12 temp sender in the a15 block!

Il replace the a12 radiator with a gemini radiator just to be safer than sorry! U-pull-it wrecker charge $40 for a radiator, il get it all cleaned so it works perfectly! Then I should be on the road.

I know, $102! I asked the guy if a nissan pulsur 1500cc motot would have the same one and he was not sure! This motor was in a vanette running very well, do you reakon I should change the thermostat???

The A12 sender is suited to the 1200's guage. It still reads the right temp no matter what engine its fitted to.
