All my equipment is european, The converter, lockoff and VPM mixer are made in italy By OMVl, the tank is made in croatia. All E-code certified, much more stringent than USDOT certidied stuff.

OMVL Italy - English

I like that the european kits use an electronic lockoff with 3 shutof points ( tank, engine bay, and at the vaporizer ) I also get an electronic fuel level gauge and an on tank gauge, the tank also have a built in fill stop and doesn't have an 80% bleed ( which i think is good, why vent gas to the atmosphere )

Is the carbon build up worse than what one gets running gasoilne? One of the selling points is that there isn't supposed to be carbon buildup, might it be from running gasoline part of the time? Cold starts are fairly easy, i have to keep the throttle open a little with my foot, but it warms up quick, seems to be that it lacks a choke, not that the fuel isn't vaporzing, if it were used in a cold area i'd install a block heater to help it be ready sooner. I'll have to keep an eye on the carbon buildup over time, since this is a brand new motor and only ran on gasoline for about 4000 miles, i'm going to be doing an oil change soon and switching over to synthetic oil.

my converter has a drain for "sludge" I wonder if the more recent hardware is more able to deal with low quality fuel...

I think the car runs better after 3 days than it ever did on my weber 32/36 ( but 30 + yeat old webers just seem to have problems, the guy at the carb repair shop doesn't like them, DCOE's are a differnt beast and work well )

How much does boring 30 thousandths of an inch over increase the compression?

We have some old ones that have a seperate fuel lock & convertor , which has worked well in the past .The new ones are a convertor and lock all in one . so if you have a prob. with one you have to tend to them both at one time , but less probs. all together.Over a period of time you may have to richrn the mixture up on cold days to start the engine, cause lp doesnt have a choke .,& yes the LP that I have workrd on from day to day does create moer carbon than a gas engine ./ They tell me that Lp is sopposed to burn cleaner than gas ( I don't beleive that ). I have had to take an intake off and take a torch 7 burn the carbon out of one . The engine couln't breath. The engine was only 3 years old. Lp does have it;s advantages though you just have to stay on top of it over time. 9 just like anything else though) tonight so bare with the misspellin

there was a company here in aus that for a short time was selling efi LPG using conveted petrol injectors and injecting the lpg as a liquid it required very complicated corection maps due to presure changes from temp and a efi fuel pump int he lpg tank

however for all the trouble the cars that they converted actually produced more power due to the cold intake temps

so my dad and I have always wondered if you could use LPG as a form of intercooling

a small NOS jet squirting LPG instead of NOS into the intake track under boost as a extra fuel source

the -50 lpg temps should be great

comarison's I have seen in the past LPG V'S gasoline here in the U.S. was lpg being less power than gasoline. & I can tell the diff. in our forklifts. to this day

i know of someone here using LPG injection on a datsun 510 with a turbo making over 500 HP!

OMVL sells a sequential LPG injection system, it uses it's own controller and a thing to trick the OEM ECU to think that the injectors are normal, check out the link and go to products, check out the dream whatever ststem, sounds like a solid system.

I think there is some potential for LPG, it's the easiest of the 'alternative' fuels.

I really did it to evade the smog regulations, then I'm gonna work out a turbo system.

I'll have to see how it goes. I'm kinda committed now ;)

I was also very interested in the aplication of the steper motor metered sytems as potetially these could be used in a multi throttle system maybe have you ever seen any such applications????

Like drive by wire?
I've seen stepper motor controlled throttle bodies on dual fuel generator sets.

or do you mean as far as controlling multiple throttle bodies in a drive by wire system?

I don't know much about those, but it certainly would eliminate ugly throttle cables and linkages.

Do you still have to manually bleed the tank at 80% fill in the US??

In aus an Auto Fill limiter which limits filling to 80% automatically became compulsary for all new tanks/installs from 1994.

Many manufacturers are now fiting multipoint LPG vapoor injection as factory LPG fitting, I know Holden have just released the current V6 commodore with in in a dual fuel setup

I only work on these on forlifts , but we do vent the tank while fillingto full. We have only used carbs. in the past but the EPA has now gotten a good hold on the forklift market & we are in the process of trading in about 30 older models so I am just now fixin to get to work on injected system. We had 2 type of carbs. piston type,& diaphram type. As we speak it looks like we are going NISSAN too!!!!! We have used HYSTER in the past.

I guess the newest lpg tanks have a built in 80% shutoff, but many are still venting, my lpg dealer is getting used to it now, but they didn't get it at first..

car started up pretty easy after sitting 10 days :)
