B310GX: Sorry for the confusion! I should have mentioned that I'm building a new KB10 for road use. The race car is going like a trooper - just got first and third places in the nsw supersprint champ.

I've removed the original master cylinder and I'm installing a sunny master cylinder (the larger one). Basically copying the race car setup. Only the pushrod is now too short to work properly.

Are the 120Y pushrods a solution to this problem?? I guess the sunny pushrod should fit, that is unless the pedal geometery is different somehow.

Dattoman_1000: Thanks mate. If I can't find a pushrod locally and cheaply I might get you to send me one. What do you charge for one??

I don't think there is a rod that bolts straight in
The original 11/16" master has a captive pushrod and the sunny and the 3/4" unit are normally supposed to go on boosters so have different rod depths on the piston
I use a rod from a toyota and modify it to use on my 1000 kits when I use the sunny master

daniel,are you putting a vaccum booster on the 1000,or just replacing the master cylinder?when i put that 13/16's master cylinder on that car,i used the original rod which came with the previous master cylinder,which was a 3/4
one,probably from a 120y.you could try finding
the rod from an early 120y & use the bit that goes around the brake pedal.the few times i drove the car before selling the car to frank,it seemed the brake pedal was ok.if you're putting a booster on it,again find a boosted 120y,which has a threaded adjustment on the end.

just make one of your own.much, much cheaper & less headach trying to find one.

I was in the middle of installing a new Sunny master cylinder on my kb10 yesterday when I realised the pushrod between the master cylinder and the brake pedal is shorter than it needs to be.

When I realised this, I vaugly remember that there is a pushrod change required to make the system work.

Can someone tell me if its the sunny pushrod rquired, or can I rob one from any other model?? Or can you buy these new from a brake place etc. ???
