The solution is a single rotor made in sydney for light aircraft. In NA form capable of 135-140hp 4port and 180hp NA for the lates 6port renesis plates (remember the renesis setup has the exhausts on the sideplates, 3 in total compared to two for the older setup, so it will have double the exhaust flow for a single renesis setup as it has two exhaust exits compared to one for the older setups for a single rotor) with halve the noise, double the economy and halve the cost for future rebuilds. Also fits into anything.
The best solution is this engine with a snail.
Youll have no noise, can make 300+hp and should be good for at least 30mpg with normal driving. Gas setups work best with rotors and will give another 60 per cent extra change in your pockets.




This pic is of one that has been powering light aircraft around the world. Another setup is good for 130hp and 35-40mpg on the road with an untuned 48mm ida weber (previously off as bridge port 12a) and now powering a heavy s2 rx7 in the sydney streets for 5000 plus kms without a hitch.

Imagine we can have a huge space for an intercooler, fans, radiator and more!

Also this rotor is about 70-80kg.

Looks like its just made from a 13B.....same end plates, rotor housing, front cover, pulleys, alternator. All you'd need is a shortened eccentric shaft.
Not sure whats goin on with the crank angle sensor though.

I remember seing a similar engine at Racing Beat in LA 15 or so years ago. They were building them for trials with NASA. With todays computers and advanced electronics running one of these would be a sweet idea..

what gearbox would u use with one of these, would it be a normal 12a or 13b box???

If its just made out of 13B housings, as it looks to be, then any 12A or 13B gearbox would bolt straight up.

Yes thats right any gearbox made for a rotor will work prefererably a series 1 or 2 gearbox which internals are interchangeable with 626 and 82-86 929 gearboxes which have the best close ratio gears. These boxes will not handle more than 180hp though but in a b10 maybe 200hp due to less stresss.
