I have a dumb question...

I was driving along and my car died, no interesting noises, turns over, just won't start...

I seem to have spark, I sprayed starting spray in it and even poured gas in the intake, all of which SHOULD do something, but nothing is happening, i've checked spark at every plug and i'm at a loss.

I'm just trying to figure out what I did...

I've checked plugs and the cap and rotor and wires, there is spark coming out of the spark plugs...

WTF???

unscrew the fuel line thats link to the carb, and turn the ignition,then see if he has fuel.

It's LPG powered, and I have lpg, I should get some reaction out of the engine with the starting spray...

I may have burned a a hole in a piston or something... compression check coming soon...

That would be the thing to do there sleeper. That would tell you alot. Didn't you tell us that you increased your ignition timming some . Might have been too much.

the ignition was only advanced 10 deg static, i have a us spec dizzy, so it doesn't advance much, and there was no detonation.

maybe the pin fell out of the dizzy drive gear and the spark is out of time???

waiting on compression test...

awwwww man what you waiting on . knowledge is power. if you don't have a compression gauge then get the timming light out . " I " want to know.

Well it's compression is good ( didn't see the gauge ) and the timing is 'right' ( in the ballpark )

What they told me is that the spark is weak and intermittent...

I'm thinking that the black ignition module in the dizzy died... I'll have a look at the FSM and see if there is a check out for the ignition module.

or maybe i need to check the spark trigger wire.

I'm glad it's not fatal... I had the guys push it back over and i'm gonna figure it out...

You said that it was fireing, so it can't be the module. all you need is compression , fuel, & fire at the right time???????????? H ave you crackrd your fuel line after the converter, then turn the engine over to tell whether you have fuel comming through the converter?

they said the spark was weak. I only use the ignition module as a trigger for my CDI system. I need to check if the unused wire for adding a tach is maybe grounding out or something.

I added the CDI after i was having missing at high rpm, that cured the missing. maybe the CDI system is messed up. I got the car back and i'll figure it out.

Whatever it is it's within my capability to fix. I'd like to think it's the ignition module in the dizzy.
