is it possible to fit one of these H165 LSD centres into a stock H145 open diff case?

Will these work in a 200sx / s12 axle? if so i'd feel stupid to not get one, i suspect they won't be so easy to get in the future.

what's the cost inc freight to the states?

The H165 diff needs a H165 housing to go into, they are larger than the H145....

I dont know if they fit the 200SX's, I think youll find they have a R180 diff centre in them?

The key is in the simple code
R= Nissanspeak for independant rear end diff & since I dont use one, thats as far as I go.

H= Nissanspeak for live axle diff
145= the diameter of the ring gear in millimeters. The same applies to the other numbers [150, 165 & 190] It is possible to install an H150 into the rear axle housing that originally came with an H145 & it is possible to install the internals from the 1200's iron carrier H145 into the earlier 1000's alloy diff carrier, & it now looks like the same is possible with the alloy & iron carriers for thre H165.
Each differential assembly is physicly larger [or smaller] than its brothers & internal parts stand less than a snowflakes chance in hell of interchanging between other model differentials.

If you have a 1200, & you want to use an H165 differential [LSD or otherwise] you will need to either source a ute rear axle assembly, or narrow one down from any of the larger models that used them.

Hey peoples - has anyone received their diff yet?

If so, what do you think - was it worth it?

(I've got cash now, and I'm think hard about it )

tnp, i guess you're asking if it made a difference in traction?

b210slpr, ddgonzal says S110 came with H165's. LINK

so the s110 / 200sx / gazelle whatever thing when sold in the states had the h165 and rear disks ( that work with the stock parking brake )

i always mess up the h165 and h190. Did we even have h190's in the states?

since it's either this lsd or I get to design one for h165/disk rear end that uses the brakes to control wheel spin.

Who has one, how does it go?

Nah, I really meant "whats the workmanship like and does it work well?"

I'm not doubting Topgears work - I merely want a user-review on these particular diffs.

Cheers,

Terry
