mik i've seen you drive as well, and i reckon the h145 should survive a little while

A h145 in food condition will survive for a decent time. Mine lasted behind a worked a14 for near 12months and id have to say i probably drive harder than most. No big clutch dumps but heaps or second gear hard hits and i must admit a few statics to slow movings ie. at least 6 tyres destroyed to the belts. First lasted 12months as i said. Second sounded a little whiney from the word go and broke after two weeks. Went to chirp/light up second and bang. Upon further inspection every planetry gear in half. Third lasted a month and never broke or sounded bad as i upgraded to a ute diff just in case. If you not into chirping or burnouts a h145 will be more than suitable.

a ute diff is only $200 drum to drum anyway..
I have a worked A14 rally car with a locked H145 in her and she handles the punishment quite nicely.....motorkhanas on tarmac as well as dirt khanacrosses
