Hi oan878,

Not too sure - I've seen the engine and box but that was a while back, they are located on a farm this guy has a few hours out of Sydney and he's not 100% sure himself...

I guess I just thought that they were all cable operated. I have not been able to find anything in the tech section to say otherwise.

Matt.

Hi all,

In the next few weeks I'm going to take out my current A12 and 4 speed to put in an A14 and 5 speed box that I've managed to track down through an old mate. I've been going through the tech section but I just want to confirm two things before I start...

Question 1) Drivesharft.
If I put both A14 and 5 speed in I know that I'm going to have to move both engine and gearbox mounts back roughly 2 inches - But will I have to have any modifications made to the drivesharft or universal joint done at all?

Question 2) Clutch
This is a weird question, but the guy supplying me with the box thinks that the 5 speed he has is hydraulic, not cable operated. I thought that they were all cable operated??? Is he just confused or is it me?

Any help with these questions is most appreciated!

Thanks,
Matt.
