When I'm doing 100kph or ,er, yeah anyway when I'm traveling at limits I try and just lift my foot off the accelorator about 2mm or something to see if I can still stay on that speed but lower the engine speed. I end up just putting it down again . I wouldn't mind a 5 speed for the coupe though. Does any A series manual gearbox fit onto any A series engine? say standard 56a onto A14 or whatever

What kind of gears do you have? I put an OD 60A 5speed in my ute and it's a godsend. Even just around town (we've got lower speed limits than you guys) it's awesome, but that's with a stock ute diff and close to stock height tires (for a ute). Not sure about your setup. My wife's ute kills me with the revs so high.

Thanks for the advice... anyone know where I can buy a good re-built 60A 4 speed in Sydney?

And I might have a 5 speed for sale very soon...

A 4 spd for sure... the price of a 5spd is 6 times what youd pay for a 4 spd. Get a 60A 4 spd they are stronger than the 53A 4 spds and stilllike only $50 for a good used one.
