"Your opinions required please"

My honest opinion is don't hack into any old car unless it a rust bucket and you are making a "fun car".

Or feel free to hack into any modern holden/DOOF DOOF lancer/wrx/civic etc

Go buy a Ute with a smashed up front end. Preferably a longbed version. And then graft it on the back. Some custom floor work, and a two piece tailshaft..nice one!

Hey guys, the only reason I'm considering doing this is that no one really seems keen to take this beast of my hands and I have my other 2 door sedan sitting next to it in the shed which has all the paint, motor, suspension, brakes, cage etc, etc. This other car is surplus to requirements, midas well do something with it if no one wants it.

My opinion is that you had more than a six pack in your stomach when this idea came to your head, but it's an intresting thing. , Good luck.

Once you get the structual side of it figured out then you have to get some one to make the drop top which would be a big expensive project to get it to seal properly.
Also resale value was mentioned if you want sell it i think you will have a harder time selling it once you have done the chop. i mean who would want it????? this is just my opinion

The 2-dr sedan makes a good looking convertible ... then again I've never seen an ugly convertible.
