i have a kinda off topic question but i just cant figured it out. me and my friends are trying to figure out how exactly the second set of cams kicks in on a corvette ZR1 with the really nice lt5 engine engages. how does mfliping a switch in the inside engage the second set of cams? i cant figure out exactly how it just "kicks in" i thought that it was always spinning with the timming belts. this is driving me nuts not knowing this, i cant figure it out. i thought that it just engages better because they are in syn at a certain rpm, anybody know?

The ZR1 has one set of cams for each head just like any dual overhead cam engine except it is a V8 so it has a total of 4 cams. it is also a 32 valve, 4 per cylinderthere is no switch of cams on and off

Id just like to say to phunkdoktaspok that that web site you posted before (www.chataboutanyshitthatsonyourmind.com) does not exsist. Now if your going to put up a web site make sure its real.
