I was also amazed at how many Datsun are still about in Fiji.
My GF and I when on a holiday about 6 months ago. Many saw b310s and b210s but saw a few 1200's and a 330 cedric Taxi. NB There were many many Toyota crown taxis, ugly as sin.

And I've heard 1200's cease production in S. Africa this year. Can any of you S.A. boys confirm??? 1200 Datsuns stopped production in the late 70's. However,if you refering to the Nissan 1400 UTEs, they are still in production, and dont think its gonna go out anytime soon. The "Nissan 1400 Bakkie" as known in SA, was given the name CHAMP, due to its durablity and reliability over the years. These UTE's are still being sold in large quantities to the commercial industries, despite it having alot of rivals in the half tonner market sector. The best race track records in SA have been set by converted Nissan 1400 UTEs, due to it being cheap in price, and easy for conversions. As for 1200 utes and sedans, I see them more often in SA, than ever before. They have made a grand comeback, and looking better than ever before. In my opinion, South Africa's no 1 in Dattos. Long live the Datsuns, and Nissans. Will post Pics of our proud Dattos soon

Yes, I mean the 1400 LDV (B140). No matter that an A14 has replaced the A12. It's still a variation of the "Datsun 1200" range, with the same body and suspension as the Datsun 1200 truck B120/B122 (except that the roof is taller).

I have to be honest with you, Pitbull.
We have a coupe in NZ which does 7s over the 1/4. And NZ was rated two places behind SA. But we're not complaining You can view topic.
