I wouldn't flip the main leaf - it will be WAY too low.

If you want a cheap and very effective leaf pack, I'll check exactly what I did with my old coupe when i get home tonight and post details and a pic.

Do you care to explain how you come to this nonsense?
A leafspring gets its strength from its thickness plus its arch.
If you reset them flatter ( since you wish to lower) How does it get stiffer? It has now lost much of its arch strength and is relying on its thickness.
Is there some magical way that you know how to flatten a leaf and make it stronger at the same time?

The only real way to strengthen (make stiffer) a reset lower leaf spring pack, is to either add more leaves or replace leaves with thicker leaves.

I would say use thethe blocks because you can always undo it if you need to. Blocks will still maintain a decent ride. And yes keep the wheels

Well blocks are a time honored way of lowering the back.

For the front, you'd need to cut 1/2 a coil off. Or just use those hokey "spring clamps" ...

I had a 66 cutlass that had those hokey spring clamps on all 4 corners
