I wouldn't flip the main leaf - it will be WAY too low.

If you want a cheap and very effective leaf pack, I'll check exactly what I did with my old coupe when i get home tonight and post details and a pic.

as far as having the springs reset what do I need to tell the spring shop? Will springs from a sedan work, what about front springs? I think I could handle flipping the main leaf over my self if thats all I need to do. Is this a better option then the blocks? Thanks Dodgeman for the reminder on the ride quality, I always seem to forget about that untill its to late

flipping springs isnt that hard, all you need is a vice and a longish bar to centre the springs when you put it back together

Now, you can't have it both ways. If you lower the rear, you will lose some of your ride quality, no matter how you do it. If you flip the leaves, over, it is only the main spring you flip over.
so you have to take the other spings off, flip the main one over and then reattach them again.
I think I would want a proper suspension place to do that.
Blocks would be alot easier.

lowering blocks are the quickest and easiest way t lower the back, and cheapest if you've already got them.

out of interest have you got any pics of your chev 4x4 with 18" of lift ?? would luv to see some ??

I thought I read somewhere that you can flip the springs upside down? The previous owner gave me a set of lowering blocks for the rear, so maybe I will just use them. I am not sure how they lowered the front I havent even had a chance to look it over well, basically I seen it bought it, loaded it and unloaded it in about 1 hour and it was 35min form my house. I did start it and noticed it needs a water pump

Lowering blocks. Cheap, simple, easy to do, reversable. Just get longer u-bolts. May not be legal in some countries.

Theoretically, re-arching the springs is better, but you'll probably want to take it to an expert to do that.
