Suddenly, there are all kinds of OEM+ parts, I've seen solid motor and tranny mounts, ball joints without stupid grease nipples, good stuff like that, all available from regular parts sources like www.partsamerica.com A couple years ago there were no such parts. I want a solid tranny mount and engine mounts! and some decent ball joints!

someone tell me about replacing tire rod ends with spherical rod ends.. I'm tired of these OEM tierod ends with messy grease seals, this is 2006! we don't need grease fittings!

-------
Or am i misunderstanding "solid" in the name of the mount, and it's "Solid" rubber ( like they all are) but (solid, not Hydraulic )

Whats the advandage of solid mounts? i know on FWD cars it improves traction cos the engine twists less on its mounts

Same advantage. More noise, more torque goes to the wheels, engine and tranny don't shift around.

It's just one of those parts I used to never see for lowly 210's even some of the parts store suspension kits are starting to come with poly bushings.

I made some solid tranny & engine mounts for my 79 model but it had a modified E-16 in it ,and it eventually started to shake & vibrate parts loose , but it did have it's advantages .

I suspect most things will get a nylock, split and flat washers. maybe safety wires in suspension parts that only need to be taken off rarely.

Can't I just listen for different parts of the car rattling instead of getting a tach?

Luckily i know a place nearby that probably has metric aircraft bolts and stuff.

Once you strip all that stuff off the car that was oem, there's alot less bolts to get loose.
