with the advent of my latest project - a Square Light Sunny, I am looking for an A14/A15 in the Perth area, however: they seem to be like hens teeth... the speedway guys use A12's, so there should still be heaps of 'em around!?

I know where I can get a low mileage A15(<60,000 Kms) for $770, but I'd prefer something cheaper...

I'm guessing you've tried the usual places Datwreck, Pick-a-part (although that is a bit of a long shot)... advertised in the Quokka ?

yep!

the $770 A15 was/is at japwreck...

and I keep an eye on the quokka like a hawk!

I still have to go and get the car... it's at Dad's neighbour's place... which I will rectify ASAP!

They turn up in unusual places,

while i was working in welshpool I found an old forklift that was using an A14 which I then exchanged through gem engines. At the time it cost about $800 bucks probably a bit more now.

Try other wrecking yards (i happend to see the forklift A14 while delivering parts to a wrecker in welshpool) you never know where you'll find em - good luck

the sunny is a farm hack... I'm not having a rare gearbox in my car i'd regret it later!

as for A12's I have 5 of them - 3 run! they are nice but I want more POWER!

edit SIX - I forgot the one in the silver sunny nearly does run...

yeah mate they are very few and far between the closest I found was an A12GX which I sold in favour of Converted's old race engine A15 Hi-Po and now I am back to an A12 and three speed auto so I am also scoping the adverts for and A14 or A15 not sure how the little auto will hold up to the extra CC's though
