Hey guys/gals... Long time no speak.. Hope everyone is doing well and all Datsuns are crankin!
There are a few other car forum organising a combined cruise for little Sophie Delezio. So far there are heaps of cars in, Hot 4's, Street Commodores and Street Machine Mag's will be doing photo shoots... This is a big cruise for a great cause.. Here is a link http://ausrotary.dntinternet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=100723 which will bring you more up to date as things go on.. Have a read and do join if you can, even if you can't bring a Datto I'm sure your presence and contribution will help the Delezio family more than we think.

URGENT - EVERYONE PLEASE READ

As you all know, the Sophie Cruise destination has been CHANGED FROM PALM BEACH TO WARRAGAMBA DAM.

The Sydney Catchment Authority has assured us that there is enough parking for 100 plus cars.

http://www.stonequarry.com.au/nature/warragamba_dam.html
Please look at this link of the Warragamba Dam site. It has important information on how to get there, facilities, pics, etc. But for your information:

** There is no dam access.
** Bring your own portable BBQ if you want to have a BBQ lunch when we get there. There are only approx. 10 electric BBQ's there & I'm told they're old things that cook very slowly.
** There are swings for the kids.
** There are toliets including a disabled toilet.

The reason why the destination has changed is because Palm Beach had other functions happening on the same day & if we were to use Palm Beach area's, we'd have to pay a refundable $500 bond to cover any damage that might be incurred.

Sorry if this change has inconvenienced anyone but we're anticipating the day to be a very enjoyable one. We're hoping to have a raffle on the day if we can get organisations to donate prizes - and again - raffle money will go to the Day Of Difference Foundation.

The Day Of Difference Foundation totally endorse this event and are fully supportive. Keep watching this forum for a link to a page where you will see the Day of Difference logo & a message from them stating that they have endorsed the event.

On the day at the meet at Warragamba Dam, you will be able to identify organisers of the event by lanyards that they will be wearing around their neck. The lanyards will have a "Day Of Difference tag" or "Organiser" tag attached.

Because all cars will be donating $15 per car, the Day Of Difference Foundation has provided a form to the organisers to take names & addresses so that they can post out receipts - so you know your donation got there. Unfortunately, the Day Of Difference Foundation does not issue a receipt book as such. All of their receipts are done on computer.

As all cars come through the entrance to Warragamba Dam, you will be met by an event organiser. COULD YOU PLEASE HAVE READY: A PIECE OF PAPER WITH YOUR NAME, ADDRESS & REGO NUMBER ALONG WITH YOUR CARS $15 DONATION AND HAND THAT TO THE ORGANISER AS YOU DRIVE THROUGH. Once all cars have parked, the organisers will come around with receipts for you once they've been written out. If you do not require a receipt, all you need to give is the $15. However you will need a receipt if you wish to claim your donation back on tax.

IF ANYONE ON THIS FORUM IS A BUSINESS OWNER OR MANAGER AND IS WILLING TO DONATE A PRIZE FOR THE RAFFLE, COULD YOU PLEASE PM ME - (WRXBOX) OR 572SS. Alternatively you can also email me on ranshz@shoalhaven.net.au
Look forward to seeing you all there!!
