Swapping Cars - Ever done it?

Just out of interest has anyone ever gone through with a swap?
(Like one I just saw on this forum not too long ago - A V8 soarer for a CA18DET 1200 ute) I never heard of anyone ever swapping vehicles with somebody rather than just buying/selling.

Yeah I swapped a TC 4 cyl ford cortina for a VW kombi camper , apparently the kombi's motor was stuffed but I know a bit about vw engines and I had it running sweet by the end of the day

Glad someone replied...it just seems like such a scray proposition youv'e got to be thinking "Why does this guy want to swap cars?"
