Yeah I'd agree with SD - around 10K.

You'll probably need a front cut to make sure you got all the looms, computers, sensors.

I went to Willowbank (car built for hillclimbs and motorkhana) with my mates just to see what we would run;

I have stock ca18det, 2.5" dump, 10lb spike 8lb constant, vs
XR6 turbo ute, stock (slipping clutch) good rubber,
ED?(1994) XR8 & extractors, and
'01 WRX 2.5" cat back, stock boost

All average drivers as far as petrol heads go. It was 28deg ambient, good track:
14.47 was the fastest from the XR6,
I was next with 14.54
the XR8 and WRX were 14.9 ish.

I had no traction through any gear. Cant have that so I got the leafs reset, welded the diff (bluebird center in ute housing still hangin in there!) got some better rubber, and went back by myself to run a 13.78,

When apc tuned it (stock ECU) it had 126Kw on the rollers. So not very much, as far as potential goes for these motors.

So no real answers to the commo' but some more references to go by,

10,000+ is what it has cost my brother for SR20 turbo.

for me i plan on putting an NA SR20 in my ute for around 2000-2500 excluding motor and box which will cost me $1500

Cross memebrs for SR20 engine 350, electrical 450, drive shaft --, thermo fan --, sway bar 250, hydrolic clutch $100, fuel tank with electic pump 200, fuel lines 80, exhaust - ill get done next to nothing,

other wise i have a radiator from the front cut and same thing with plenty of other parts. then its battery lines, filter etc ect. very budget conversion with no frills for now. I know i could have missed somethings - remind me if i have.

Na engine theres no big 3 inch mandrel exhaust and pricey plumbing to include or intercooler. i dont have to replace my diff, my brakes are sufficeint temporarily.

i'm here in california with a ca18det in my 2dr 1200. i have a microtech LT8s(no tuning yet) and 9 lbs of boost. i raced my friends holden minaro(gto 5.7). he has intake, exhaust and longtube headers and i leave him by 3-4 cars in 2nd and 3rd gear. evo 9 mr's get tossed too. i have a stock diff with 155r12 tires on 12x4's also. :) weighed my car and it came in at 1650lbs. love it!
