Hi,

I've got 3 options of what sort of material to line my ute tray with: -

Leaving painted is not an option due to 32 years worth of dents in the tray.

1) Spackle coat - This stuff is pretty cheap - I can get it done for $70, but I reckon it looks a bit tacky in the standard white.
Does anyone know if you can buy in different colours?

2) Hammer Coat - This is the hard rippled finish that you see on a lot of sill panels.
I believe you can colour code it & it's cheap too.
What's it look like sprayed in a ute tray?

3) Spray on Liner - This is a rubberised spray on lining.
Colour coded but expensive.... Anyone know how much?

If anyone knows of other products, pls let me know.

Thanks

Rhino lining is a very good liner, my dad used it alot in his work utes, originally from South Africa but theres now a company in Ashmore but there could be more. they have a limited colour range but even still the black simple colour looks great. this was going to be my second option if i hadnt had the checkerplate tray done. ill see if i can find an internet site for you.

Surprise!, my ute trays are knackered too! I have looked at several options. None seem to appeal greatly. My utes will continue to be utes, so I have decided on: Tonneau Covers.

They hide a multitude of sins. . .

Rhino Liners are the sprayed rubberised coating I was referring to.
I've got a brochure.

Thanks for the Rating

yeah well be careful on that rhino lining. a mate of mine had it done and the sprayer was too lazy to swap nozzles and so his bed got a "industrial waterproof" lumpy-textured coat

Is carpet an option ? I am placing compressed custom boards in my tray, then covering them with carpet. No rubber linging or painting would make my tray look respectable. Cheers

Just got a quote for the Rhino Lining........
$500 - Holy Cow , that's more than a diff re-build .

Carpet not an option as it still requires paint first.

Can anyone rate the stone guard?

wood always does the trick... hides all the underneath wreck, and makes it look kinda neat in the end...
