Mate, we all get a bit wound up sometimes & I've been abused by experts, so your little bit of 'leting off steam' is no problem & no offense taken. It's all good.
I was working on the assumption that you sourced an engine with a head on it, & that on instalation, it was found would not accept the adjusting strap, which would make it an A10 or 1200 head. I wonder if it had ben a running engine, & if so, how did they affix the adjusting strap before.
I then assumed that the workshop that was doing the job, went & bought a head that fitted & worked, & that is the 120Y head that is on it now. It sounds like it performs quite well & you gotta be happy with that, but the need for this particular fuel may be a problem if you travel far from your home turf.
Anyway, it runs now, so if you do decide to find an A14/15 head, then you are at least in no desperate hurry for it, & you can just keep your eye open & pick up a bargain when something shows up.
You know, a Vanette has got to have a lot going for it at times. They didn't call them 'Sin Bins' [F*** Trucks] for nothing.
