Millions of people all over the world master it without difficulty every year, so I'm sure that you would too.
After all, your forefathers drove all their horse drawn vehicles, including stage coaches from the right, check out any quality wild west movie.
While you're at it, see if you can get a look at the Tony Curtis movie, 'The Great Race.'
Set in 1910, this movie correctly depicts all of the domestic US made cars in RHD, & as late as 1922 you could still buy a new, American made, Stutz car for domestic US use in right drive.
Oh yeah, the actual race [yes it really happened] was won by a 1909 Thomas Flyer, which was restored by casino owner Bill Harrah in Reno in the '70's & it went into his museum. It too was right drive.

The standardisation of the throttle pedal on the right didn't occur untill 1929 in the US [many had it in the middle] & the US finally adopted red as the standard colour for stop & tail lights at about the same time.
Many cars used blue for the stop light with amber for tail lights before about 1930. [I still have some blue lenses for US cars.]

Your switch to left drive was [historicly] a relatively recent event, & lord only knows why, as there is no practical reason for it, & no advantage to it.

For those wishing to a quality conversion to right drive, have a good look at the firewall where the steering column passes through. I suspect that this does not have the correct pressed-out holes for a steering column, so the whole firewall may need to be swapped for a real deal conversion.

need to get dash...rhd pedal box...master cylinder and booster....rhd steering set up....shouldn't take much work to change a b310 to rhd when compared to a newer car like a civic for example.probably the best thing to do is to source a rhd front cut and just transfer parts.

anyone in the know want to tell what needs to be gotten to do a RHD conversion?

i know you need a dash, maybe a different steering gearbox.
most of the stuff would swap over, might need a RHD pedal box.

maybe a FSM shot of a RHD steering setup...

california is even stricter than the feds, but other states couldn't care less, especially if you're in the military

funny that california also has the worst dmv regulations and the most inept dmv employees (from top to bottom)

if what you mean by registered importer is somebody who will bring it into spec with federal epa and dot standards than yes you can do that if it's required

and those shops will do any car, but they charge a lot because they typically do mercedes, ferrari, etc.

yes, not only was the r34 gt-r obd2, it had the added curse of not being a vehicle sold in the usa in any way, shape or form, so the feds came down especially hard on it

don't be fooled, there are quite a few places importing entire cars these days. i'm continually surprised by the number of rhd models popping up

the dmv has trouble with written english, so a title written in japanese couldn't be much worse

again, don't try to import (or even puchase) a newer skyline unless it's been officialized. the horror stories are too true

i think everyone just imports the parts and swaps over the steering. importing cars seems to be a pain in the usa.

imagine trying to get CA DMV to accept a title in japanese.

newer cars aren't easy to import either, if it's not emissions, it's ODB-II or crash testing, etc. I hear all kinds of horror stories of kids who thought they could just buy a skyline and have it shipped over, only to have it shipped back because of bs paperwork, there aren't ever going to be R34(or whichever it was) skylines here.

but you can have a parted one shipped in...

the car could be shipped direct to NYC from japan, not everything goes rail across the country.

Last I read from the US Customs web site, to import a car newer than 25 years you have to go through a registered importer, and there are none for most cars. Generally speaking they only handle expensive cars (Mercedes, Ferrari, etc). There are always exceptions, like the historical law that went into affect a couple of years ago and by which Bill Gates finally got his Porsche 929 after sitting on the docks in San Diego for a decade ...

The only grass-roots import I heard of was for 1994 GTR certification, which I read recently was pulled by the government due to irregularities.

actually you can import cars that are 25 years or newer. they just need to be comparable to u.s. models, and receive slight body mods and emissions certification

RHD vehicles are legal in the USA -- no need to convert them.

But you can only import cars 25 years or older, due to DOT rules (this is about safety features, not emissions).
