ok well ive done a few bits and pieces to start of with i got the::

front l/r guards
right and left doors
and tail gait

and covered them with paint stripper!!!!
as this is going tpo be a full bare metal respray i have to strip off every bit of the old crusty disgusting paint that i can ,so the paint stipper is a good place to start.....

heres a shot of parts ,there in not to bad condition but not the best either ,and as for the lovely red paint well,thats got to go!!!!!!!!!!

heres allthe parts on a sheet of plastic,covered in stripper and then covered with more plastic,this helps alot with speeding up the reaction and makes it easyer to rubb the stripper in ,also it helps keep the stripper off your skin as it burns like crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heres one of the mess i made!!!!stripping parts is a messy job ...........

and after a bit of a clean up sanding ,scraping more sanding cleaning etc you basicly end up with this.........

and thats about all ive done to start with ,panel beating will come later so for the moment the panels have had an etch prime just to help them to not get surface rust will there waiting for the next step............

so thats that ,heres one of the new bonnet that came with it,but theres a tiny dent on it so will have to take care of that....

The paint looks off the hook!

ok well been cleaning parts and have discovered that the rear screen is stone chiped and scratched to the extreme so i need an other


does any one have a rear screen to suit 1200 1972 datsun ute?????????????

or does anyone no a good cheap window company that can make one up?????????

I know Windscreens O'Brien can do anything. Although you'll probably pay for it
