ok well yesterday i recieved my strut brace set up form boofhead,
BIG THANKS TO YOU MATE GREAT WORK,
ill be posting up a few pics later on of it with the ends being preped and painted so keep an eye out for that soon............

also a few new rear brake parts are onthe way so ill post up something on them also ,man some of these new parts are pretty dam hard to get hold of aye!!!!

not to worry ,also my rear shocks have turned up ,a bit of a custom work to go on with them a bit of an idea i stole off my work mate ,but more on that a little later also!!!

so there a few things on the table thats going on shortly,
this week end im hoping to make a bit of a start on the interior,alot of sanding to be done and a lot of cleaning ...again....story of my life at the moment!!! hahahaha any way yeah looking at preping the interior for priming and then a little paint later on and abit of resealing,and i may stone guard the floor also just to make it all tidy and clean,

and heres what im up against!!!!

ok well just a quick one today,

went and picked up my new rear brake parts,cheers rob,

got new brake shoes and new brake drums,

so had to paint the drums and assorted hardware ,heres a few pics

just been so busy today havnt had the time to do what i was hoping,but should be able to start assembling the rear brakes shortly,

hye evilbetty, love your work. just one lil question. whats the plastic covering the stripping for? i've never had to go through this process (prob will soon though).

thanks mate well you dont have to use plastic if you dont want too but it does help,
it traps the vapour from the stripper and speeds up the whole process,also you can move the stripper around using your hands ,so you can spread it evenly with out getting it on you ,and also when you remove the plastic most of the time the paint comes off onto the plastic so you dont have to sit there for hours scraping it all off,
my opinion is use plastic it makes the job alot easyer ,but its not nessasary,
just go to ...a hardware store,your in nz arnt you???you could try mitre 10 or somewhere like that just buy a few plastic drop sheets for house painting ,same ####,good luck with it

ok so been very busy lately so havnt had much time to get stuck into the ute ,but heres a small update,

well i managed to get the rear brake assembly put together,

so heres the bits that have been put on

new brake shoes
new brake adjusters
new wheel cyclinders
new brake drums
and new gas air shocks,a little experiment im doing ,,,,

well again not to much to report,im flat out with work and a few other comitments at the moment hoping to get a bit more done in the week end,

the old wheels have been put back on and the ass is back on the ground tho,next gona be stripping around the cabin and the making my way to the inside and under the floor so alot of work involved there stay tuned should have an update shortly

ok so today i have been doing a bit of work ,basicly ive paint stripped the roof and the door shuts and across the front of the window panel then sanded and sanded and got it nearly all in bare metal and then a quick coat of etch primer to seal it while it waits for more attention so heres the pics

this one half way thru the stripping there were many coats of the red paint and different primers and crap so it all had to go..

ok well your all probably wondering where ive gone,
well ive been a bit sick latley so havnt been able to get any work done on the ute but shortly i should be back into it so keep an eye out there will be more to come soon.....................
