yuk!!!!! original red old and crusty ,its no good it has to go....

so it was droped in paint stripper
then started thru the sanding process
this isnt fun this part and takes a very long time!!!!! so at the moment this is where we are at,the hinge has been paint stripped then sanded with 180 grit then 240 then 320 then 400 and this is what it looks like at the 400 stage....

and another thing im working on this week is the bonnet hinges,this is chrome on the super cheap!!!!!!!

and so to cover up those ugly cracks some nice material ,was layed over the pad,this took along time but the result isnt too bad ,well in my opinion looks a lot better.............

well not too much new to report,im waiting to pick up a donor ute so i can get the complete set of parts that i need!!!!

so at the moment ive just been going thru all the parts and cleaning and choosing what im going to use etc,also ive been doing a bit of polishing on some old parts just trying to get them tyded up ,

now heres a few pics these shots are of the dash pad,my dash pad was reasinably ruff,cracks in the top etc,so i decided to recover it in some matereial........

cheers for the comments!,id love to put some huge chrome on that would be sick as,but what im doing is a restoration /update and the the car will be going up for sale, so probably not worth me spending more 1000s on huge rims,but yeah the colour would defiatly suit some sweet chrome mags!

i just saw a car with the same colour as you are painting your ute and it had huge chrome wheels and it looked sweet and i think you should also put big chrome wheels on it

that colour is a NICE PIECE OF ASS!!! i would love to have a car with that colour. good work soofar from what ive seen this thing is guna be awesome keep up the good work
