Thanks champ, now that I know 'how' I'm going to mount the engine that problem will be shelved until I can find a decent c10 auto to start mount stuff up properly. Currently am looking a 3500-4500 ish stallies and thats the hardest part of getting the bits together.

I took the diff and transmission out of the datto today, what would be a good diff to shorten to fit, was thinking of just using my 9" out of the XE but thought I may aswell ask what others have used in the past before I chew up the 9"

Well after alot of hunting around I decided on grabbing a mates Borg Warner Falcon diff getting it shortened, swapping the center for a skyline higher ratio and using a locker set up. Cheap and nasty but that'll have to do untill it breaks.

On the transmittion front have pretty firmly decided on a c10 with 3500+ stally but am having real trouble finding quality recos out there, if anyone has any connections a PM would be appreciated but untill then the search wil continue....

Sounds like it is coming together nicley. What are you going to do with it? Is it just a fun burnout car or do you plan on getting it registered? sorry if this has been asked before.

Cheers

Just burnout and 1/4 track, nothing serious just something to keep me occupied and out of the house for a few hours every weekend.
