Much as it makes me gag to say it, it might be desirable to spend what it takes & get a Dellow kit & run a Toy,.... Toyo,.... Yoyo, Tota, ahhh, hell, you know what I mean. The box itself is relatively cheap in the wreckers because they are so strong that hardly anyone ruins one, so demand is low. I think that they sometimes have trouble giving them away. Well, maybe not quite as cheap as that. Anyway, thats what a racer of my aquaintance uses & try hard as he might, he hasn't busted it yet. I heard that the young bloke went out a bit tentatively at first [very wise] & improved quite a bit during the day,.. & he had a great time as well. Good on him.

Yep. Its a 60-series 4 speeder. Yeah, we know all too well what Chris is running. We only run the 4 speed because we run a double entered car on a miniscule budget of about $4000 bucks a year combined. Once you take fuel, entry fees and 1 set of tyres out of that, theres less than a grand for mechanical impovements! Thats why we've missed a few races lately!!
I have just purchased a good toyota 5-speed out of a T18 plus an weathered celica 5-speed for parts. I'm currently making my own bellhousing because we can't afford a Dellow. I'm making it to suit our current datsun clutch and will be operated by the ol' faithful clutch cable.

When you work at a company with a large machine shop, they too bloody expensive. I'm making mine out of an old auto gearbox bellhousing (which is bolt-on). It will cost me about $20 bucks for the lot but will take a few afternoons!

Anyway, back on the original subject:
I've been to my local supercheap auto store and have been quoted the following: Datto1000 parts: Pair of Upper Balljoints = $120 Pair of Lower Balljoints = $100 LH + RH outer steering links = $30ea LH + RH inner steering links = $30ea Pitman arm link = not available Idler arm link = not available Freight surcharge of $10 per order I believe all parts are "PowerMax" brand. Can anyone do better than this?? I really hope so because I need to order them asap. I asked the question about bushes. Apparently, everything is available for 1200's but nothing available for 1000's. I really need a set of these too! So I'm hoping to hear from you soon Dattoman_1000

I have all the genuine bushes now except the ones that go under the front spring ends
I'll try to get some measuring done and an email off to Noltec this weekend. Did supercrap give you part #'s of all the items ? Particularly the "steering links" ( tierod ends )
