help on weber fuel presure please

hello there guys , good to be back after a while
can anybody please help with any information on as to what is the correct fuel pressure to be used on an 1400 with side draughts.
also as to what size fuel lines should be used, and if a regulater must be used ,also to what pressure should be used.

1.5 PSI but no more than 3 PSI.

hello benny
thanks for the info
please can u tell me why because i have been told that i must have it between 4 and 7 psi
running at this we did have some problems with it flooding sometimes even at idle
can u also assist on weather a return pipe must be fitted grom the carb back to the tank. iwould really appreciate any input on this please

no secrets, webers expect the same fuel pressure that other carbies expect..no magic required.

I have only ever seen 0-5psi regulators used on weber setups. With 1.5-3psi being the common range. More than 4 psi and the needle and seats start leaking, raising the float level and flooding the engine.

Ive always run mine at between 1 to 1.5 psi no more...4-7 psi is way too much.

The Weber book agrees. You need low pressure. Minnesh, you'd be better off listening to repair manuals rather than somebody's word. Just go to the library and check it out, or check the Weber web page.
