How much is worth it all depends on you, our datsuns will never have the value that other old or collector cars do, but i guess the reasons why each one of us have one is in some cases priceless,i don't think there's a book or a rule to go by as far as dictating the price,of course the conditions of the car are the main thing, but other than that is all up to you: how bad do you want it, after all is your money: go ahead and satisfy your desire buy the car and enjoy the hell out of it,chances are you will spend that money one way or the other so follow your feelings.

To pull a figure out of my arse - well my gut feeling tells me around $2000 - $3000 in Australia for a top condition 1200.

Just look at that mint 1000 currently attempting to be sold on this site - it started around $5000 or so....3 months later not sold and the price is down to $2000.

Not really sure if those figures can be converted to US dollars - it's all really supply and demand....but I'd say about $1000 US or so...maybe $1500US.

Let the discussion begin.

Nah, in USA a good condition driver is worth 1500. A top condition low-mileage stock Coupe is worth maybe 3500. Modified Coupes have sold for more.

See some actual prices (from last year and previous) here: 1200 Price Guide

there's a minty in 'just cars' this month from ACT. No rust 70,000 original miles for AUD$3,500. I would say thats about right.

It depends on the sellers attitude towards them, some think they're junk and sell for <$1000, others think they're worth a mint and ask rediculous amounts, I guess you've just got to look at heaps and find what the true market value is.

I agree Tyrie look at heaps be patient and if you see something you like buy it There is a mint one for sale in Cooma for $1,000 original canberra car to. I guess when cars get to the age they are now it is supply and demand and what you want. As long as we continue seeing them on the road that is the main thing huh. cheers

I would guess AU$2000-AU$6000 depending on sun damage. Seems US dollar prices match Aussie dollar prices. So I would expect a similar car is worth AU$2000-AU$6000 also.

But with factory original panels being 'unavailable' how badly do you want it?

Demand and price for such cars..even to break up for for spares will get higher every day.
