I have been a fan of the Datsun 1200 since I owned one way back in 1982. My dad bought it for me as a used car and I have never forgotten it (two door fast back, red in color) even though I have owned a great number and variety of vehicles since that time.
I started looking for a nice driver one month ago and there seems to be no running examples where I live (Saskatchewan).
Anyway, great site here with tons of info and I hope to be back in the saddle by next spring!

Keep your eyes open, Datto's come up all the time.

They're a tough little car that's well worth going for.

I may have to search E-Bay, although I would rather buy one from an enthusiast rather than someone with no personal involvement.
But since I have decided on a 1200 rather than a 510 I know it will be tougher to find.
But then again the search itself is a journey!

Hi dp,

I too got my first 1200 in 1982, from my dad.

Anyways there are a few up in Canada, including club members here from BC, Alberta and Ontario at least.

Keep watching eBay and the Classifieds here. I looked for two years before I found mine back in 2003.
