How do you go with liability in this case? If a exhaust place damaged your car don't they have to pay? Or was it the 'mates' exhaust shop.....I've been there before....

Awesome stuff! Coupe headlining wouldnt fit because of rear doors. The bloke that was welding has knocked the price of a new headlining off the exhaust price but im gonna try and find a original one because i really like the original look, he already has a big enough cleanup at his work, it was about a inch under water when i was there yesterday!

I told you it was all free, I've just gotta find a way to fit it in my poor little GTi to get it down to the post office...or Courier.
I've got a good coupe headlining...not much good for the sedan though.
Just think how clean it'll all be when you're done getting that stuff off it. You should get the exhaust guy onto it....he did it.

Far out Dan, yep thats pinchweld! How much is this thing gonna cost to post, sure you dont want any post money?

You should see how much cleaning i need to do, all windows have a thick layer of black soot on them, everything is just covered in it. It stinks too, now i stink like it, even after a shower! The headlining is pretty much out now just have to remove it from the front and rear window rubbers. The interior light is just a yellowed blob on the roof!

Whitesedan....you're in luck. If pinch weld is that black s#@t that goes around the edges of doors don't buy any....there is 5 metres of it in the box. There is also 2 door seals from Rare Spares but I'm not sure if they fit or not. Man I gotta post that thing. I'll go out and put it in the car now.

Yeah its not too bad, pinch welds and other little rubbers are all melted. I'll get some photos, im suprised it didnt hurt the dash which i only just got back from dash original. Maybe its time for a full cage and forget about rego completely?

You didnt happen to put a new interior (preferably non-flammable) in with my box of goodies did you?

Mate that sucks when it was coming along so well..
Lucky as you say the new Velo's weren't already in there though.
Building cars always takes time but when someone tries to have a bbq in your car and sets you back even further it's not much fun. Hope the rest of the build goes ok.
