hey everyone i dont like some of the things on my ute e.g tailgate handles, vents behind doors bump stops and im thinking of taking them of and modding them and i was wondering if yas could post some pics of these mods on ur utes just so i can get an idea of the finished product to decide if ill take em off or not cheers fellas

the vents behind the doors on my ute have been shaved and by the bump stops do u mean the rubber bits on the rear bumper? if so theyve been shaved also i have a pic of my ute in my profile thingo n ill try and upload one of the rear

Can't say that I like the removal of the vents as they were put there for good reason.

cheers my fuel flap has also been welded shut and relocated inside the tray

Flow through ventilation.
Air comes in through the front vents, through the heater, or by passes it, then through the cabin & out through the vents when the windows are closed, like in winter. If the vents are removed, & no other air outlet is provided, the cabin becomes slightly pressurised, then nothing. Sort of like blowing up a paper bag. No air movement means no circulation of heat & fresh air. [so don't fart.]
Coupes have then down on the body just behind the doors & sedans have them in the 'C' pillar & they serve their purpose well.

Blocking off the vents in front of the windscreen messes with the ventilation in the same basic way. No air movement, no comfort.

my ute has the pillar ones welded up. the air goes out the gaps where the door rubbers are missing on the bottom of the doors.

does it fog up more if you seal the cabin?

God daam you dribble a lot of pointless bullcrap to make yourself look like a genius.
Its not highly technical. I wouldnt even call it technical. When you lock up your car, what happens to the cabin pressure as you close the door? It is vented. If you didnt have the vents, what would happen to your windscreens? Do you think they might pop out? Thats the sole reason. The same reason as to why cars to this day still have vents behind bumpers etc.
Weld them up - hide new ones elsewhere, or simply leave the windows cracked open a little like most people do anyways.
If they are made for air flow to circulate. Then they are designed pretty daam #### along with the interior trim that covers them. They are designed to vent air pressure not air circulation. #### I would think an encyclopedia would tell you that.
