Well, today i could officially say to myself - The Datsuns done. After 5 years of work, off and on, i finally finished off what i set out to do in the first place. Why it took me me 5 years - i dont know? I should have done it in less than a year, but i lost interest in the project after my father died. My father drove his 1200 for 13 odd years and it was allways both of us working on the 1200's when i was young. But, in the last 6 months i decided to finish it. Mainly cause i miss driving a 1200, but i also wanted to finish it for Dad. Hopefully i will be getting a blue-slip in the next couple of weeks and soon after some registration. So, expect to see another 1200 on the streets of Sydney soon! I will also be keen on Datsun meets, race days and cruises aswell!

Quite a happy day for me! !

This is it a few days ago...
I will post some more pics tommorow when its daylight..

hi Davo1200, glad to hear it's done. It looks muscular with those tires. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on being behind the wheel of the "new" 1200.

Dave well done. I think we were one of the first to join the datsun 1200 site with teratonga and stirlingmac. I have been following your progress and would be interested to see how she goes. Is that coupe got the motor in it that you bought off Andrew? Well done.

Woot! Thanks everyone! Havent been on for a month or 2 - been moving house - yet again!

Chris! Yeah - i think we were in the first 10 members at least. And it now has over 6000 members! Thats Andrews old engine all right! She's a beasty little thing. It still needs a solid tune and a dyno tho. Cant wait to get it on a track!

Turboron - The wheels are 14" ET turbo rims and the tyres are Falken 195/55/14's. Falken are the only tyre company to make that size as far as i know.

Good one Davo. Jeez it's been a while since you've been around. But it's good to see you haven't lost the datsun lovin' feeling.
