A knock sensor is tied to the engine management computer. It can not retard the vacuum advance or the machanical advance, it provides an input to the computer, & the computer retards the spark as long as it has full control of the spark.
If your spark is completely controlled by the distributor, then a knock sensor will be of very limited value.

its good to see some brains here dogeman have been out the game for many years. this club has inspired me to get back into my datsun 1000 i start my blown a12 towmorrow wish me luck want to run high boost aswell datsun 1000 part needed

exactly... it's not going to be a real system, real EMS with a TPS and all that is what it takes.
