Pretty scarry at that speed! If the speedo is acurite that is...it seems out though

The text says that the Van has a 'high speed cruise' of 81 Mph or 130 Kph. I think that this is more likely to be the maximum speed when fitted with the 4.375 to 1 diff & the 552mm diameter [550x12] rear tyres. [fronts were smaller at 500x12]
This wrings is out to about 6,000 rpm

you wouldn't even think a semi had gearing to get going that fast.

bloody oath just need to sit by the great northern highway after dark here in WA to see how fast they go, theres no stopping them when they get moving!
We were traveling from Mt Newman to Bunbury and were sitting on 135kmph when a roadtrain past us!
We then decided it was best to pull over for the night

Got off the clock in my b110 coupe, fresh A15 - single 32/36 weber, 5 speed, exhaust, alloy rims etc. No doubt some speedo error - the dial was pointing at the h of "mph" at the bottom of the speedometer...maybe 190km/hr?
changed into 5th gear at 100mph (6000rpm) - road to Murray Bridge from Adelaide is perfect for speed runs.....3am to be safe.....

Assuming my Autometer tach and math was right, I hit 6000 rpm in 5th which is around 115mph for me. I thought I was about to fly off the road or lose a fender or something.

when the ute had the stock a12

best i saw was 130kph flat out in 4th

if i had another kilometer of road it might have gotten to 132 or 133 i reckon..

205 (estimate) 8000 rpm in fifth in 63a box with 4.875 final ratio running 205 60 14 Yoko Advans...is there a formula or website to work this out exactly??
