Make: Datsun
Model: 1973 1200 Sedan
Colour: Yellow
Interior: Cream
Engine: 1200cc
Trans: 4 speed manual...
Miles: 51,XXX miles.
Body: Rather Straight
Rego: Registered Till 5/2007. Tasmania Reg
Price: $1500 ONO.
Contact: Dwayne - 0400124852. or pm me.

I've owned this little 1200 now for just on 12 months. Its been a fantastic little car and has given me no trouble what so ever.

I recently replaced the clutch and brake light switch but other than that there have been no mechanical problems with the car in the whole time i've had it.

For its age the car has pretty low miles. I bought it off a new car dealership in Launceston who traded it off an old couple who lived in the area. I believe they were the original owners as written in the books from when it was bought new.

The car starts and runs great. Drives very well and uses hardly any petrol. Its been an incredibly economical little car for me and i really enjoy driving it.

It all seems to be original with the original engine in it and all the books and plates etc matching up.

The bodywork is not in the best condition but for the most part its a straight car. there is some bog in the left rear quarter and a few wobbles in the panel work around the back aswell as a little dent in the right rear corner near the tail light but its ok and would restore up just fantastic. or, just drive it as is!

The interior is in good condition also. The dash pad has a couple of cracks in it but thats 33 year old cars for you. The drivers front seat has also a small crack in the base cover. The rear seat backrest has some cracks along the top edge where it has weathered over time. and its missing the gear shift boot.

i'm wanting to get rid of this car and have no idea what its really worth to anyone so i've started at $1500. if you want to pay more... feel free!!!!!

The car is located in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia and i can be contacted by my mobile phone or a pm through this website...
my phone number is 0400124852.

i sold one just like this about 6 months ago. i owned it for 6 months. the dattos are incredible on fuel!! no #### i put about 100buck in it for the whole time i owned it.

the only thing i would recomend is that the new owner buys a disk brake front end if it has not alreddy been swapped from a 120y. i have everything that is needed to do this so feel free to contact me if you are intrested. as i felt the drums inferior to disks..

sorry to hijack your thred abit just a surgestion for the new owner. GL with the sale

yeah your right. i think it has had a hit or a knock in the passanger rear door...
there is a little bog in that guard and i thing whats happened is the old repairer has tried to blend the paint over into the door. its a slightly different colour which is a shame and you can obviously see it.

no it hasn't had the 120Y disc front end conversion done yet either. the brakes in it are good if you don't expect too much from them. but if you changed the motor, or worked it at all you'd want to think about an upgrade for sure.
