What struts does the datrats setup use? I think craig uses 200b struts if i remember right.
Im using 14's with my 280zx struts. You dont hvae to be that mechanically minded, i just removed the old spring perch, got the coilover setup welded on then bought all the other stuff which is just 280zx stuff.

both setups can run stanza struts.
Datrat- The kit includes new slotted discs and reconditioned spaced Sumitomo calipers to suit. These are ready to bolt onto late 180B, 200B, 240K, B310 or stanza struts. The modified Sumitomo twin piston calipers are fitted with new piston and bridge seals.These calipers allow you to fit most 13" wheels and larger giving very high performance braking when used with 13" & 14" rims. The kit is reasonably priced at $995. maddat- Includes 280mm vented disc rotors, RX7 S4 Calipers (new seal kits fitted), adaptor brackets, bolts, washers. wheel bearing kits, hoses. Kit is designed to fit 200B or late Stanza struts. Will not affect wheel off-set. Comes wtih engineers report. 1235 plus 160 for slotted rotor = 1395 400 bucks diff

im not 100% but i think that craig uses the later stanza struts (ones that come stock with girloc calipers) i think you pay a lot more for the kits because they come with an engineers cetificate.

Craig still shortens the struts, they are too long in a 1200, especially if your going to run 14's.

i cant run 14s with maddat setup the rotor is to big. and 15s become illegal which creates a hassle

I really reckon you do it yourself and buy the same as me or even late bluey/early skyline struts and just convert to coilovers.

Same as stanza;
sunny/stanza lower arms, ball joints, steering arms, outer tierods and radius rods. Only difference is, then you have to remove the lower spring seat and either weld on a 1200 standard one or use coilovers. With the R31 struts you have to get a small ring either made up or you can buy them from datsport, goes in between steering arm and strut. You can view topic.
