possum the standard port of rotary engines are modified by engine builders so that they make more power. they dont 'come' ported but any sort of porting can be done to the 12a just like a 13b or any other rotary engine.

crzy_1200_ute i bought an rx7 for $1800 stripped it of what i needed then sold it for $1000 as a rolling shell. There was probably another couple of grand spent getting it going...

i used an auto stanza tunnel and am also using stanza brakes up front.. i made my own mounts.

well the ute went to the panel beaters today...

and the engine went to the engine builder yesterday..

for those interested in my rotating engine its going to be rebuilt with all new seals, have some fairly extensive porting done including porting of the inlet and exhaust ports, match porting of the inlet manifold, and bridgeporting. A lightened flywheel, reco pressure plate and new clutch will go on aswell...

got a couple more pics inlcuding one of trial fitting the webber for bonnet clearance before i pulled the engine out..

i will take some more detailed shots when putting it all back together...

pigdog im hoping to scrub 2 whole seconds off that time but anywhere in the 13 second bracket in street trim and i'd be happy..

my engine builder is confident that it should see 100mph down the quarter so depending on how well i get it moving i might see a good time..

lowrider it didnt do too badly on the strip considering it was a stock standard tired old 12a with over 100,000kms on it since it was last pulled down.. it should have double the power output when it returns so should be fun..

crzy_1200 i struggle to find time to work on my own datto let alone make mounting kits for others.. but in all honesty engine/gearbox mounts are really not that hard to make ill try to remember to get some pics of the setup when i put it all back together and it'll give you an idea of how it can be done... just have a go i say!

Awsome Ange!! Cant be far now mate, just need to install the 7mufflers to keep her quiet

Nice job, paint seems to have come up good, like that big tunnel too! What my stumpy box may require.

Could be some relaxing time ahead and quiet sunday drives
