Poor little a14 needed a new head, terminal cancer it seems...
Luckily picked up a mint unmolested one from a friendly local speedway hooligan for the grand price of nothing !
A thorough cleanup, some new valves, re cut seats, 60thou off the bottom to pick up the comp a little and a set of Crow v8 Holden heavy duty valve springs.
Paired with some neato little hitachi 38's, stainless headers, custom 2 inch system and and a ridiculous camshaft, also from a speedway hooligan.
Idles like a bridge ported rotary at about 1200rpm, cam is a little bit too big for the poor hitachi carbs, it's got nothing under 4000rpm !

Off with the old wheels, on with the.... errr, older ones.
Picked up these sampson engineering magnums, made in south australia, late 70's
13x6, 205 60 rear 185 front.
Now to lower it, 4x4 mode is getting old real fast😉

Here's a shot of my cheap ass a12 turbo setup, free turbo, home made manifolds $100 Dellorto. Most costly item was the carb to turbo adaptor at 200 bux. Good fun build, tdo4l 13g from mitsu lancer does not like draw through, too much vacuum for seals to cope with.

Wow, simple yet effective routing solution. You've done well what with the short inlet shot and top-mount location

What sort of problems does it cause, maybe excessive oil burning?

Sucks too much oil past the seals under vacuum, even with a 1mm restrictor in the feed line and 19mm straight drain into sump.
All good, low mount blow through coming up !

Well, before i chuck the rowland manifold on the a14 in the coupe, we figured a quick run on the rollers for a before and after would be a good idea.
It is a bog stock bottom end, h89 head 60thou off,
Big valve springs, cam thats way too big, factory twin 38 hitachis, headers and 2 inch exhaust, stock ignition system.
Update soon...😊

South African 160y wagon. Makes you wonder how long the drive back to Australia would be.
